MY REVIEW FOR CHASING RIVER:
Okay, I have to say that after reading this book, I suddenly have the urge to go to Ireland!! Man oh man, what a tale that K.A. weaves with this one, even if it is set in another country.
Amber, sister of Jesse (from Burying Water), decides to pick up and go on a little adventure- after discovering that her life isn't exactly what she thought it would be at this point. After touring Europe, she lands in Ireland, and unbeknownst to her, wanders into the path of an IRA grudge between two crime lords. Out of nowhere, River swoops in and saves her, even though she never gets his name or the chance to thank him. Which is all she really wants to do. So, she sets out to find the mysterious man, and give him and show him some proper gratitude for risking his life to save hers. She never imagined falling for his charm and good looks, because she knew her stay in Ireland was only temporary.
River, after being found by the beautiful girl that he risked his life for, quickly realizes that he wants to know more about her, and finds himself wishing that her stay was more of a permanent nature. Not to mention, the fact that he is trying to balance falling for the girl, and protecting his IRA connected brother at the same time.
River and Amber's story is so good, and definitely one that I think you'll love. We get a nice dose of Jesse, Alex and Sheriff Welles, as well as meet Ivy (the heroine in the next of the series- Surviving Ice), which is fantastic- because let's face it- this cast is awesome. Plus, you get River's brother, Rowen, who I love!!! It's hard for me to pick a fave of the series, but Chasing River is definitely up there!! Kudos K.A., well done on this 5 star read!!!!
