New Release & Review!!! Riven Knight— Devney Perry!!!

Y’all...... this book. Yes, just so much yes. Everything, but everything about Genevieve and Isaiah is phenomenal. Two strangers, bound together by a terrible secret, now facing a newly committed life as one unit. How could you NOT want to devour every word? Not to mention, it’s Devney Perry, and it’s apparent that this woman does no wrong in the literary sense.
The Tin Gypsies have quickly won my heart over as some of the fiercest, and most delicious, men that I’ve ever read. First Draven, after meeting him in Nick and Emmeline’s book- total Daddy material. Yes sir. And then, Dash. Dash y’all. A freaking amazingly perfect specimen of man that I wanted to crawl into my Kindle, just to be with. And now, the man that knocked them out of the water- the silent and broody man that made Genevieve his “doll”........ total swoon.
There are SO many wonderful parts to this book, and one that will break your freaking heart. I’m talking, I ugly cried. Hard. I was gutted. I know why it had to happen, but the fact that this horrible thing DID happen. I was not okay. Not even a little bit. That’s how Devney does, she sucks you in and doesn’t let you go, so that when you’re done with the story, it stays with you. Her words haunt, in the best and most beautiful way. And I freaking love it. And Riven Knight- every word, sheer and utter genius.

RIVEN KNIGHT

Release Date: January 21st, 2020

Genevieve Daylee didn’t expect to be standing in front of a judge on her twenty-seventh birthday. But ever since her life became entangled with a former motorcycle gang, she’s learned not to expect anything but trouble.

Her mother, a woman she once admired and adored, is gone, leaving behind a trail of secrets and lies. She’s living in a tiny apartment above a garage owned by her brother, a man who loathes her very existence. And the father she met beside her mother’s grave is as much of a stranger as Isaiah Reynolds, the broken man with soulless eyes standing beside her in front of the judge.

Isaiah is her protector from the murderer at large in Clifton Forge. Though he’s more like a riven knight in dented armor than a prince on a white stallion. She knows next to nothing about him, other than he works as a mechanic. As of tonight, he’ll be sharing her bathroom.

And, according to the judge, Isaiah is now her husband.

New Release & Review!!! Herd That— Lani Lynn Vale!!!

The Valentine Boys
Release Date: January 21

His Wranglers fit him like a glove. A really tight, leaving nothing to the imagination, glove. Codie wants nothing more than to shove that Wrangler-covered butt straight into the mud.

Ace Valentine has a smart mouth, a devil-may-care attitude, and those wicked eyes aimed directly at her.

She doesn’t know what to do with that kind of attention. Especially not from the sweet-talking man that has no problem charming every woman that enters his orbit—everyone but her, at least.

Ace isn’t sure why Codie Spears had her panties in a twist when it comes to him, but every snub and insult she hurls his way brings him closer and closer to falling for her.

He’s not sure what it is about the town’s bad girl that draws his attention, but every encounter they have leaves him wanting her until there’s nothing else left to do but have her.

The only thing is, she’s been convinced by everyone around her that she’s not good enough. Tell a person that she’s a piece of trash enough times, and eventually she’ll start to believe it. It’s going to take a lot of smooth-talking and gentling on his part to get her to see that she’s worth it.

And once he has her where he wants her? Well, she’ll make a mighty fine rancher’s wife.

MY REVIEW:
Okay, Lani Lynn Vale can definitely do some cowboys, y’all!!! I very quickly fell heads over heels for both Codie and Ace, but Ace was a sight to behold for sure.
It was very apparent that these two were hot off the charts in chemistry, right from the get go. It was almost like the air was sizzling. Granted it could have been from some animosity on Codie’s part in the beginning, but you could just tell that they were going to be explosive when they got together.
I loved the direction that Lani went with both characters feeling like they were severely flawed, almost broken. I think it helped them both to grow as people, while they healed one another’s hearts and souls.
I can’t wait to see what the rest of the Valentine men are gonna do to me, but I have a feeling that they’re all gonna have special places, without a doubt.

New Release & Review!!! Just Kidding— Lani Lynn Vale!!!

After reading about these SWAT boys, I swear I’m not having my husband fully utilize his SWAT gear for all that I need!!

These men are yummolicious!!!!! I’m so excited to see the next generation of SWAT guys and FREE, Dixie Warden and whomever else’s folks get their stories. It’s almost better than the first time around. Almost. Because let’s be honest, nothing is ever as good as the original!

But Dax and Rowen do come awfully close. Their story is just one for the record books. Full of sexual tension and heat, hilarious banter, and a shared love and history of family that most will never have. It was everything that was needed for a strong foundation of a fantastic relationship.

The way Dax is with Rowen, right from the start, even at her lowest point- made me fall head over heels for him. It cemented the fact that Dax Tremaine is one of the best that there is. Hands down. And Rowen? Bless her heart. Y’all this girl was the target of the meanest and ugliest troll you could imagine, and she handled it with more grace and beauty than I have ever seen. I loved them, all of them.

I can’t wait to see what happens with the next couple, and am so glad that it’s coming soon!!!

Let’s do a calendar, they said. It’ll be fun, they said.
Well, they—i.e. Kilgore Police Department’s public relations specialists—were wrong.
Now, every time Dax Tremaine walks around a corner, the women of Kilgore, Texas can’t help calling him Mr. January.
Mr. January, can you fix my flat tire? Mr. January, can you cuff me? Mr. January, can you sign my boob?
It goes from bad to worse when even on a SWAT call, the women won’t stay away.
***
It was the worst time of her life. Rowen Roberts had finally admitted to herself that the man she loved would never love her back. She was just fired from her job for violating client confidentiality, and to make matters worse, she’s held up at gunpoint in a convenience store where she only wanted some ice cream to help mask the pain.
The moment the gun is pressed to her forehead, she knows she has a decision to make. Follow the rules and maybe possibly live, or go down swinging where at least she can salvage just a little bit of her dignity.
And when Mr. January himself tells her to do what the gunman says, she’s had enough. Rowen has never really been a girl that does what she’s told. Mr. January won’t have to save her. She can dang well save herself.

MY REVIEW!!!
Okay y’all- I tried, I really did. I wanted so very hard to like this story, not only because it was my girl Silla’s work, but because dad bods everywhere needed some serious lovin’. But this one? No, just no. This is seriously not what I was expecting from Silla Webb. Her work is better than this folks, much much better. And the only thing that I can think of is that it was the addition of the new writer that brought it all downhill.
First off, there’s not anything a character can say to offend me- literally, I have as much of a sailor’s mouth as anybody sometimes, but this was a little extreme in some instances. These people laid down the F-Bomb more times than I could count in the first few pages of the book- and they live in Georgia!!! They’re not hardened gangsters or anything of the sort, so it was completely ridiculous that they should have been talking that way. Another thug- if I read the phrase “taint sucker” one more time, I swear I was going to bleach my eyeballs. This was how best friends talked about one another, seriously?!?!? And Laney, she was supposed to be a preschool teacher?? That was as believable as Bigfoot, let me tell you. That woman was one of the nastiest and crass female characters that I’ve seen, and should have been kept from kids at all costs. I’m fairly certain that no female besties sit around and talk about their “giners” all day long, so again- completely unbelievable.
Then we get to Madden and Jordan. Oh lord, these two did have the sexual chemistry to make a good story, but they’re so incredibly immature that it was a disaster. To be honest, I suppose there was an HEA, but I honestly couldn’t finish it because the story was just too much of a let down for me. I’m sorry Silla girl, I’m really hoping to see you back in your groove with your next one.

Have you ever loved something so much you’d do anything to protect it?

Keep it safe, no matter the expense to yourself? No matter how miserable
it makes you? Yeah, we all have. Some folks feel the need to protect
their loved ones—I feel the need to protect my six-pack.

And my washboard has been well protected beneath sixty pounds of
hardened man chub, but my sexy abs are about to make a comeback.

I do it alright, even sign up for a trainer at the gym.

This dude is just what I need to get back on track. He’ll give me the
brutal drill sergeant attitude I need to kick my ass in line. It’s gonna
be freakin’ awesome.

Imagine my shock and shrinking manhood when Jordan Williams walks in. A
five-feet-six inch chick with more curves than a back road and just the
right amount of sass and sweet. She’s bold as brass and tough as nails,
and I’m completely screwed.

She encourages me to set three milestones for my weight loss, a way to
reward myself for the pounds shed. One is getting back on the dating
scene. It’s not what I expect, but I have a hard time saying no to her.
I’m not only losing my dad bod but my man card too.

All it takes is three disastrous dates and several awkward situations
for me to realize who I really want to show all my tools to is right in
front of me. Busting my ass in the gym every day.

Maybe I should have concentrated just as much on protecting my heart as
I have my abs. Jordan is out of my league, and my goal is to get on her
level.
