This is most definitely the Kendrick sibling that we have all been waiting for, people. We may have thought that Logan was the one that we wanted to read about, and while I will admit that he was charismatic and fascinating to devour- he was nothing like Sofia. 
This girl, she has been through more internal pain than you could shake a stick at. While some may say, "Oh poor little rich girl- she had her feelings hurt"..... It goes so much deeper than that, y'all. This girl really was the forgotten one of the three Kendrick siblings throughout her childhood. The one that no one ever took seriously, that every one always looked at as having her head in the clouds, the one that was always dismissed with the flick of a hand and the one who was always the first to blame for "embarrassing" the family name. It was enough to wear away on the fragile woman that only wanted the most fundamental thing in life- to love and be loved.
And given that's what Sofia wanted most, I think she was the most perfect person to be paired with Dakota. A man that had his own fair share of being neglected and feeling unloved and shunned from his family- was the one man that she could've come across that needed love as much as she did. But they had to teach one another to love- from the bottom up. And I think that's why their story may be the most beautiful one of all. These two had to teach one another to trust, to love and depend on each other to be the other's "person", which was a completely foreign concept to both. They had to both let go of their former misconceptions of each other, whatever those may have been, to find what they had been looking for all along- pure and true love.
I'm so happy with the way that this series turned out, even if I am still sad that it's ending. But, I know that just means that Devney Perry has something else coming up, that will be a new beginning to something wonderful that will make me fall in love with a whole new bunch of characters, and for that- I can leave Montana with a smile on my face.

Lawd how mercy y'all- how in the land did these two not get together years before they did??? The chemistry between Zee and Jubilee is hotter than a two dollar pistol!! For real!!

I know that we all just about say that with everyone of Lani's couples, because seriously- they all hit in out of the ballpark when they get together- but these two walk a VERY fine love for years between love and hate (leaning more toward hate), that I think lends itself to the explosive passion they share. At the moment that they finally do realize the feelings that they have denied for way too long- it's something that cannot be stopped- no matter the guilt that they feel, the shame they are afraid may be cast upon them, or even the hate that they thought they once felt. Their love for one another is much too powerful for any of that.

Now, their road to beauty is not perfect- not by any means. In all honesty, it is down right ugly- filled with a tragic history that haunts them both with bitter and horrific memories of their shared past. Lani does a fantastic job of sharing their story, both in the past, and in the present, to make us understand why Zee and Jubilee are why they are- why they originally hate each other, and why they eventually love so deeply that nothing could ever tear them apart.

As we get closer to the end of this series, I get even more melancholy about the thought of not seeing these couples in every book, because it just sucks. But, I also know that means that LLV has a new series coming our way too. And for that, I'm thankful, because who doesn't want more Lani Lynn??

Now, you may be asking yourself if this story is a hot one, and of course it is- it's Madison Faye after all. But what it also is, is one that has a tiny bit of action and suspense thrown in as well, which isn't something that is in every one of her books, but the ones that do have it- they are the ones that I enjoy the most.

The ones that have the heroes that have to face down villains of all kinds, in order to get back their lady loves- after they have been taken- those are the ones that get my juices flowing, people. I'm happy to report that Valentine and Dutch are just as hot and action packed the couple as any of Madison's other hottest couples. I love them all, but Dutch was super yummy for some reason.
