Be still my heart, Aurora Rose Reynolds has given us yet another Mayson man to fall fast for and swoon over. And boy, oh boy, is Cobi Mayson certainly worth doing both for.
As soon as we met him in Until Harmony, we knew that he was intense and brooding and that there was nothing that was going to stand in his way from the one thing he wanted. His BOOM. His Hadley. But, we had no clue just how much he was like his father, his uncles, and every other Mayson man in existence. They truly are cut from the same cloth. Birds of a feather and such.
As for Hadley- she was the perfect woman for a Mayson man, feisty and full of fire, but soft and sweet with and innocence that needed to be protected, with the force of a thousand suns. She couldn’t have fit in better with Cobi’s family- she was the perfect pseudo daughter for Liz and Trevor, and a wonderful new addition to the cousin gang. It also only seemed natural for the other aunts and uncles to wrap her into the fold like it was as natural as breathing.
That said, it still hurt my heart to see how crappy of a family Hadley herself had, or rather didn’t. The so called parents that used her as a gravy train should’ve given her a better chance at life and given her up for adoption at birth, but seeing as how they were such selfish human beings- I’m not surprised that they didn’t.
Luckily, Cobi was there to give Hadley all of the happiness that she could ever wish or hope for. And this man is one determined Mayson. So, Hadley gets her happiness, her love, her laughter, and we get the beauty that only ARR knows how to give when Maysons find their BOOM.
