Good Lord. CP Smith, what have you done? You have laid upon us the best
work we could have ever possibly as you for, that's what. Nate and
Poppy- I'm speechless. Gutted and put back together. Made whole by your
words. Filled to the brim with the goodness that only the Wallflowers
and their men could bring me. But more than that- the beauty and
redemption that only Nate and Poppy could bring me.
I thought that nothing could top Bo and Sienna. Of course I had also thought that about Devin and Calla. But nothing, and I do mean nothing and no one could ever top Nate and Poppy. The raw beauty and the ugliness that these two had to wade and fight through..... god. Brilliance.
After all this time, we all know that there is nothing but trouble and hilarity that follows our girls around like shadows, cloaking them like a wet blanket almost. Clinging to them with every step they take. But, it's something their men have come to expect, and one of the many reasons that they (and we) love them so well. So, it should come as no surprise that Poppy continues to find herself in just as much mischief in her book as Sienna and Cali did in theirs. However, Poppy's tends to be quite a bit darker, as she is dealing with a much more disturbed subject matter. Nevertheless, Nate and the gang are there to help her push her way through the muck and mire and swim to the other side, where their is nothing but peace and love waiting for her with open arms.
While this book is about Poppy, it's also a bit different than the first two, in that it's also about Nate. His demons are almost as ugly as Poppy's- and his healing is needed as much as hers is. Even if he doesn't believe it. They literally save each other.
Basically, I love everything that CP Smith has ever put out, but this book..... this book, is everything. And more. So much more. Her best yet. And I only want more.
