MY REVIEW:
How great is this book, y'all? Let me just go ahead and tell you ALL of the ways!! David and Angel are gonna blow your minds, people. The things these two endure, both as teens, and during their adults lives- just wow. Much more than any other people probably ever would or could, that's for sure.
There's is a love story that is ugly, gritty and raw, but oh so beautiful in the entirety of it all. It is downright brutal what happens to them- the way they are ripped apart, right as they come together. It's disgusting the things that are forced upon Angel, all because her father is a low life piece of crap, and there is NOTHING that David can do to change it. Why? Because the control that he holds so dear, is taken from him when he least expects.
To say that the life that brings these two back together is unfair, doesn't even begin to cover it. But, that being said- at least they are eventually brought back together- even if the circumstances are less than ideal, the two find their way back to one another. They find their way- HOME. Where they belong. Together. And it's beautiful. Everything dark and poignant that only Celia Aaron can write.
And I loved every freaking word of it.
