MY REVIEW FOR BEARD UP

This could very well be Lani Lynn's best one yet! Ghost's is a story that I have been waiting on for SO long. After meeting him in Aaron's book- I was hooked. The mysterious man drew me in from the very beginning. The dark cloud that shrouded him, the story that we knew lingered in the shadows- just everything.

I knew that when we finally got to the heart of Ghost, that it was going to break me. I knew it was going to be gut wrenching- because a man doesn't go through the things that Ghost did and come out the other side without some pretty big demons. However, Vale did a superb job of putting me back together afterwards. She took those shattered pieces of me, and melded them into something bigger and better. She gave us a book of true beauty. Love and loss, redemption and revenge- family.

The underlying note in Ghost's book is one of overcoming the biggest of obstacles. He literally is a man who rose from the dead- the biggest hurdle of all. He had to fight his way back into his family, into his wife's heart- regain her love, and the love of the brotherhood that he also considered family. Nothing about the life of this man was easy- and Lani Lynn made sure to let us know that- she showed us the ugly truth of Ghost's past, his reality, and his struggle to get to his future. It was brilliant.

I can't even begin to come up with the words to describe how  perfect this book is, how highly I recommend it, and how quickly you need to grab your copy- because there just aren't enough words for that. There aren't enough stars to rate it, because it deserves them all. But for now, I will settle for 5, and say- get this now!!!

That noun sums up Ghost and what his life has become with painful precision. He is barely living, merely existing but never thriving. There wasn’t much that could pull him from the darkness he willingly inhabits…except one thing. Her. She is the reason he’s done what he’s done, and his life has become what it has become. He haunts his former life, lurking in the background, surviving on occasional glimpses of the only thing good that is left in his miserable life.
