This book is the one that started it all for me. The "it" being my mild obsession with all things Sarah O' Rourke!! A few months ago, the crazies posted a snippet teaser of this story, and I was so amazed by those words that I immediately sent Sarah a message and asked to review their work!! I wasn't above begging if I had to, because I needed these books in my life, I just had to have them. Luckily for me, they didn't make me beg, and sent me over copies of Cain's Salvation and Hard as Stone right away.
As soon as I read them, I was done for. The McKinnon sisters and their men had grabbed hold of my heart, and were not about to let go. I devoured both books, and began, not so patiently, stalking their Facebook page in offer to find out when Abel and Patience would be unleashed! So, when I got the email telling me about the release, I was ecstatic. I just knew this book would be amazing. And, I was not wrong.
After going through two books seeing the sexual tension between these two, and the back and forth, love and hate relationship that they so beautifully portrayed, I couldn't have planned on their coming together being this epic. To see the one sister who never wanted a family, be the one to get one, with the last man she ever expected- yes, just yes. And, what a man Abel Turner is. Sexy as sin, and alpha as can be!! And did I mention the decoration below the belt. Hot freaking damn.
There is plenty of McKinnon love and hilarity as well, which is yet another thing that make these books so amazing. This family is real. The love they have for each of the there is never ending, no matter how much they drive each other crazy. They are family- through and through. They come together to celebrate the good times, they all team up to rescue each other in the scary times, and they comfort one another during the sad ones. Sarah O'Rourke has perfectly captured that sense of family and love in her books, and probably in Abel and Patience's story most. Although, I have a feeling that when Honor and Zeke get their turn, they're going to blow these two out of the water, and will firmly be my favorites.
These two wild and crazy woman, this brilliant team of authors, have quickly cemented themselves in my top favorites. I look forward to the beauty that they have in store for us all in the future!!!

“Oh, no. Your self-confidence is unmatched,” Patience muttered, still squirming between his hard body and the wall. “It’s your self-control that needs work.” Lifting her eyes to Abel’s she narrowed her eyes to slits. “You’re not getting this, Abel, and you really need to get me here. Since all the blood in your body seems to have gotten diverted to your dick, I’m gonna speak real slow and in terms that even Dr. Seuss could understand, okay?”
Waiting for a second, she watched one perfectly shaped eyebrow lift on his handsome face in silent askance. “I will not fuck you in the hall. I will not fuck you against this wall. You should really be a better learner. I will not fuck you, Abel Turner.”

Sarah O'Rourke is the alter ego of two best friends who have taken their passion for romantic fiction and erotica to the publishing world.
