Rock Chick Revolution-- Kristen Ashley

What can I say, except that Kit has absolutely done it again!!! Love, love and even more love Ally and Ren's story...... even though it is the final book of the Rock Chick series, which yeah-- makes me so very sad!! Even though I discovered Kristen through Motorcycle Man, I quickly followed up that series with the Rock Chicks, and I gotta say- they are like members of my family. That is how much I feel like I am in touch and a part of those gals and guys lives, which totally makes it suck that it is the end of the line for them. But, I haven't had to despair too much since there have been some characters to show up in her Chaos series-- Yay!!!
So, as mentioned before, this is Ally and Ren's long awaited story. And damn what a story it is- fanfreakingtastic!! So glad to finally see Ally get her happy ending- even though it was with the one person that so many of us KA fans would have never expected it to be with. But, knowing now that it is Ren, I could not have picked anyone better for Ally to have to love her- and fuck does that man love her. He knows it so soon after they get together, and he does everything he can to get her to realize it, all the while also trying to get her to realize that she loves him too. And wow what a feat that was, because did I mention how damn stubborn that girl is?? We all thought Indy was bad, but she ain't got shit on Ally!! Probably explains why they are besties for life- sisters from separate wombs. I did freak out a bit in the beginning when I thought that they weren't gonna make it after she finally confronted him about his "unconscious ramblings" and didn't even give him the chance to defend himself before storming off....... Luckily our hot headed Italian bad ass alpha male didn't take her shit and demanded that she shut her damn mouth and hear him out. Ren's bad ass-ness just makes him all the more hot, and damn, he was already smoking. I love that he is demanding with her about her sharing her life and dreams with him, that he doesn't let her shy away from telling him exactly what she needs and wants out of their life together. It made me love him all the more. Because even though he originally hated the thought of her following the dream career that she wanted, he decided that her happiness and the love that he had for her was more important. The fact that these two were able to actually communicate, as in Ally wasn't afraid to open her big ass mouth, I think was the magic factor in what makes them work. And Kristen Ashley portrayed all of that beautifully.
I love that we got to see so much more of Darius too, and a deeper look into his pain and his life- both past and present. And, I especially love that we got so much of all of our other favorites too- all the Rock Chicks and the Hot Bunch, still together and happy- and in love. I adore that Tex got his happy ending, because let's be serious- who of us doesn't love Tex??? And most importantly, I love that we got to see into the future of the gang, and that we found out that there is more to come- just at a different angle......  ;)
So, KA-- you hit it out of the ballpark lady!! You further cemented the fact that you are, without a doubt, my absolute favorite author of all time. I cannot sing your praises enough girl- and I can't wait for all the goodies that you still have up your sleeve!!!!!
5 of the biggest stars in the sky for this one!!!!!

Elite-- Rachel Van Dyken

So, even though I wasn't sure about this one when I started it, I am glad that I stuck it out, since it completely took me by surprise! I read the blurb from the author about it, and let me just say- you really are shocked to find out what is exactly going on in the book, because it just doesn't match up to the blurb at all. At least I don't think it does, but that doesn't mean that it wasn't great- because it really was!! I actually have a bit of a book hangover from this one. Mainly because of the cliffy- yeah, the dreaded cliffy. I think my hangover with this one is more out of frustration, because so many things were left unfinished and up in the air between Nixon (our hero) and Trace (our heroine). There is a bit of a love triangle thing starting up between the two of them and Chase, Nixon's cousin and I think of as best friend. It really made for an interesting story. Especially when all of the secrets of Nixon and Trace's intertwined pasts began to unravel and come to light. It really was a case of "everything you have ever known your life to be has been a complete lie." I felt so bad for Trace, as everything and everyone that she had trusted her entire life since she could remember, had lied to her, and kept the importance of who she really was from her. And the one person that she thought she would never be able to trust, was the only one that was honest with her- protecting her, willing to lay down his life for her, and loving her the entire time. Nixon, while at the beginning, was simply begging for me to punch him in the throat multiple times, more than redeemed himself by the end. Once I finally saw why he had to do things the way he did, I fell in love with him and his tortured soul. He simply damned himself long before any of us readers ever could. My heart broke for him once I saw why he was the way he was. I loved the way that he loves Trace, pure and deep, and that it has lasted almost their entire lifetime. It really reminded me of Hopeless and Losing Hope (Colleen Hoover- see the earlier reviews) in that respect. I only wish that once that Trace discovered who she was, she could have drawn a bit more strength from it, and relied on herself instead of Chase so much. I felt like she was leading him on even though she didn't realize it, because I could clearly see how Chase feels about her. Just another lovely twist in the next book, Elect, from what I read in the sneak peek of it. I really find myself anticipating Elect's release almost more than most other sequels, since I still have so many unanswered questions about things. But that doesn't take away from the fact that I loved this book, and can't wait to see more.
5 stars

Real-- Katy Evans

OMG....................
There is simply nothing, and I do mean nothing, more sexy than a man with a star tatted somewhere on his lovely body. And to have that particular ink just above the promise land. Jesus H Christ......... I could have never even read this book and would have given it 5 stars just based on the damn cover!!However, I did read it (actually read it MONTHS ago, and am just now getting to the review, lol)--- I read it and I fell in love!! Remy. Remy. Remy. I feel like I should be screaming his name rather than typing it since that is what this book did- it made me want to scream out in pleasure several times. This one is a scorcher. Wooooo. So good.
Remy, a tatted up prized fighter, is competing one night when in walks Brooke, a naïve young thing that he simply cannot resist. He wants this girl, with every fiber of his being, so much so that he simply walks out of the ring to chase after her when she runs. Now, why in the hell would she run you ask? Because she knows. She knows how her body reacts to just the sight of him alone, how her heart hammers when he looks at her, and how intensely she knows he wants her in return. She knows. So, she does what she knows best and takes off like a bat outta hell from the ring, only to be stopped and confronted by Remy, because he is not about to let what he knows is going to be the best thing to ever happen to him, walk away. He just can't. So, in order to be sure that she remains by his side, he makes her an offer she cannot refuse- to be his personal physical sports "therapist"....... you know, because he needs all of those aches and kinks worked out each night ;)
Luckily, she accepts, even though she does it with the pretense in her head that she is going to keep it professional, not hanky panky. She isn't going to let Remy get into her pants, and most definitely not into her heart. Silly girl, she outta know- this boy fights for a living. Now, why in the hell would she think that he wouldn't fight his way into her life too?? And boy does he ever...... Like I said before, so damn good. I am so very happy to see that there are more books coming out in this series, even though I hate that we have to wait until November to get the next one, I am good. It is well worth the wait- I promise you that. You guys have to meet Remy, you are truly gonna love him!!
5 big old huge stars!!

The Edge of Never-- J.A. Redmerski

Oh good lord, this book completely shredded me, I most definitely have to start with that!! But damn, it was amazing!! It definitely is one of those rip out your guts and your heart at the same time kinda books- then slowly, and very excruciatingly puts it back inside and jumbles around the pieces before it finally finishes the puzzle. Yeah, that's about right. What an emotional ride. This one brought out the tears for sure, which hasn't happened since Falling Into You by Jasinda Wilder. Now all that being said- buy this damn book!! You have to- you just must.
Camryn meets Andrew one day while on a cross country Greyhound bus trip to find herself, and whatever it is in life that makes her happy. They meet and have an instant spark, even though they bristle up against one another just as much as they get along. The banter with these two is simply classic. I loved it! So, after Andrew rescues her from a rather dangerous situation, she latches herself to his side in order to help him with some deeply personal and tragic circumstances going on in his life. They quickly become the other's rock, in life, in friendship and importantly, in love.
They decide to take another adventure, this time just the two of them, in route to Texas (where Andrew now lives, Cam is from North Carolina), as Cam is sure that this is where her happiness lies. She takes a huge leap of faith with Andrew and sets out on a life changing journey, never expecting to find the purpose of her life (music), and also, the love of her life in Andrew. The book also shows how the two of them learn to grow together and finally lean on someone else in their life after years of shutting others out.
Now, there was a point in the book where I just simply lost it-- I mean, the ugly cry. Yeah girls, you all know what that is. The hiccoughing sobs that wrack your body, snot up your nose and make your head pound like a high school marching band has taken up residence there. It was that bad. I don't want to say what prompted this because, it is one of those things that you HAVE to experience, you have to be taken by surprise, you have to feel that loss, you have to have aforementioned guts and heart ripped out in order to truly appreciate it. It is just so heartbreaking. And I really believed that was the end. I can't tell what happens after, as it really does give away too much, except to say that there is a second book coming soon. The Edge of Always. I cannot wait to read it, I need to finish out this story in my head and in my heart. It is simply beautiful. Please don't hesitate- get this book. You will not be disappointed.
5 stars all the way!!

Louder than Love-- Jessica Topper

Now, there really is nothing better than a rock star romance, well maybe unless it is a tattoo artist, or a biker, or some other form of hot said romance....... Sigh...... Anywho. Even though I had never before come across anything from this author, I am so very glad that I did. This one is a bit different from the other rocker novels that I have read though, not that it's a bad thing by any means, just not what I was expecting. This one didn't have quite the amount of graphic sex that I was used to- not that it wasn't steamy in its own right- did I mention the bathroom wall sex?? ;)
So, we meet in this book, Katrina, aka Tree, aka Kat (but only to Adrian)- and her hero, Adrian. Kat has lived quite the tragic life in her thirty two years, having met her husband, given birth to their daughter, and then losing him to a tragic and untimely death just before the baby's first birthday. Grief stricken, she moves back to her hometown and in with her parents, who she lovingly refers to as "snowbirds", as in they fly south to Florida for the winter. Given that they are getting older, they decide to relocate there permanently and gift Kat their house, ensuring that she and Abbey (her now 4 1/2 year old daughter) have a permanent and stable home. During this time, her daughter discovers a cartoon on PBS and falls in love, constantly going around the house singing the theme song. So Kat, being the librarian that she is, does some research and tracks down the singer of said song to book him for a personal appearance to a function at the library. Enter Adrian, the sexy British songster that she instantly falls for, even though she is pissed because he shows up drunk, to a children's function. Yep, this man has some issues of his own too. However, he immediately tells her how beautiful she is and decides that she is something he definitely wants. She falls for him even harder when she sees how good he is with children, her daughter in particular- he is already wrapped around Abbey's pinky finger upon the first meet. It really is too sweet, even though it goes back to deal with his own daughter that he was never there for. Did I mention that he used to be a rock god?? Oh, I left that out?? Yeah, well I don't want to get into it, because it has to do with one of the little twists and turns of the story, and you really do need to read it yourself to understand why he does what he does.
These two have to overcome some big demons from Adrian's past, because let's face it, the boy is pretty damaged himself- all the while, overcoming the ghost of Kat's deceased husband, whom Adrian feels as though he is competing against. It is quite heart wrenching at times, but it makes it all very worth it in the end. Even though the story does have an HEA, I really felt like there could have been just a bit more to it, or possibly an epilogue so that we can see where they finally ended up. Just my wishful thinking I suppose. Perhaps one day in the future, Ms. Topper will give us a little something extra ;)  Ah, one can hope..........

Against the Ropes-- Sarah Castille

Max, oh my Max....... Simply yum!! This man is amazing, and not afraid to show it- at all. When Makayla finds herself suddenly thrust into the job of an assistant in Redemption, an underground mixed martial arts club, she comes face to face with Max, aka Torment- the larger than life owner of said club. And the most sexy man that she has ever seen. She is instantly drawn to him, and likewise, him to her. Upon discovering her usefulness as a trained EMT- he decides to hire her to become the new medical attendant for the club since he is not able to hire a normal physician due to it being an unsanctioned establishment. Due to some extenuating circumstances on her part, and the fact that Max is willing to pay her whatever she desires, she reluctantly accepts and suddenly becomes one of the family at the club. Now, I know you are wondering why she would be so reluctant to accept considering that she and Max are crazy about each other and all that, but there is one little detail that I forgot to mention- this chick abhors violence..... Yep, can't even begin to stomach it- so much that it makes her physically sick to see it. Something to do with some of the demons of her past. But, she overlooks it all, just so that she can be with Max. These two really have a great and pure love, even though it is also a tortured one as well. They deal with a lot of crap in their quest for happiness, whether it be jealous ex girlfriends, over zealous debt collectors, pushy male admirers, banned former fighters from the club, and even themselves- they overcome it all. This story is one that is a standalone, no cliff hanger- and most importantly, the wonderful HEA. I really loved it and look forward to more from this author.

Get Bent (Hard Rock Roots)-- C.M. Stunich

Finally, I get some damn answers!!! I love the fact that some of my worst fears about what I thought had happened, actually didn't. But I still hated that some of the things that happened even happened at all. I have to say that this book is more concentrated on the mystery of the "who did it" than the relationship between Naomi and Turner. That being said, there is still plenty of heat and steam going on, and we still get lots of the back and forth between them that we had in Real Ugly, so never fear there. Turner still loves her, even more than before, since he thought he had lost her. And he still tries his best to show her that she feels the same, much to her anger- she still tells him regularly that she hates him, lol. She really refuses to let herself fall in love with him again, until one steamy and sweet session between them when she realized that things have changed with them. That he has changed- that he really does love her. It was hard to see her struggle through her feelings, mainly because I saw him redeem himself from his mistake from years past, and he really tried with everything he had in him to show her that she was it for him. He wants to marry her, have babies with her, and just grow old with her.
The entire time that Turner is trying to get Naomi to come around, they are working with a couple of other band members to figure out who is doing these terrible things to them. They kind of turn into Sherlock Holmes and Watson!! It was pretty nice having some substance to the story, and not just hot sex all of the time, lol. As they get closer to figuring out what is going on, things get stranger for the group, and the threats to everyone's safety get even higher. Some of the people that they never thought that they could trust end up being the ones that they have to rely on to piece things together.
Finally, near the end of the book- Naomi admits to Turner that she loves him, but it takes an act of Mother Nature, and the threat that they may die to get her to do it. It drove me crazy that it took that long for her to say it, but I was so glad that she did, because he needed to know. And she needed to admit it to herself. So, I love that she finally did!!
This book, being the second in the series, also left off on a cliffhanger, but nothing like the first one did. Some things were still left up in the air, and several questions were left unanswered. Unfortunately for me, the third book isn't yet released, so I will have to wait to see how the story continues in the next novel. But, that isn't enough to take away how much I loved this one  :)
5 stars all the way!!

Real Ugly (Hard Rock Roots)-- C.M. Stunich

So this is the second book I have read by this author, and I gotta say- she is the shizz people!! It was fantastic, just like the other one was. So, I would say that she is a keeper on my authors to read list!!! This is a rock star romance/ mystery/ suspense novel- with a serious side of hot and steamy sex thrown it. Naomi and Turner, our female and male leads are both rock stars in two different bands currently on tour together, but their story goes back about six years prior to where the story kicks off. Naomi meets Turner, already a rock god, six years prior (after idolizing him for quite some time)- he rescues her from a bad situation, they get drunk, get tattoos of each others name, have sex and pass out. She is a virgin at that time by the way, and is totally in love with him, so she doesn't think too much about it when he doesn't whip out protection before the act, which results in an unplanned pregnancy......... But he doesn't stick around for that (don't hate him yet!!)
Fast forward six years later, he comes across her on the tour and it sparks some recognition, because up until this point, he doesn't remember their time together as he was wasted during it. She hates him by this time, so she totally bucks up against him and treats him like the biggest asshole on the planet, which drives him insane as he demands respect from everyone. The fact that she doesn't, makes him want her even more, and makes him more determined to figure out where he knows her from. He finally pisses her off enough that she blows up and it all comes out, the history that they have, the pregnancy and the fact that she hates the air he breathes. He immediately wants to know where his kid is, as he is determined to be the best father that he can be to his child (he had a shitty childhood himself)........ So, he makes her tell him everything, including the thing that breaks his heart- that she had an abortion. This broke my heart too- I could feel how much he wanted a child, how much he needed someone to love, and to have someone to love him. Of course, the revelation makes him furious with her, so you would think that would be the end for them- that he would be disgusted by her, and want nothing to do with her. Yeah, that's what I thought too. But um no, this dude is hooked so deep in her that he doesn't even realize it. I almost laughed when he realized that he was in love, mainly because the guy never had experienced any of it in his life, so he had no clue what the hell was going on. It really was funny, but sweet all the same, because as soon as he realized it- he let her know. He didn't hold back at all, and he was completely and utterly done with any other woman. He wanted Naomi, forever and always, no questions asked. If only she could have been as easy to come to terms with her feelings. No, that wasn't happening- she still hates him with a passion, and refuses to let him back into her heart again. She does everything that she can to deny her feelings, even though the sexual tension between them is so freaking hot. Her body really betrays her, let's just say that.
Now, onto the mystery and suspense. Naomi has a past- something that she did years ago, something horrible, something that would probably send her to prison for the rest of her life. For years, she has lived with the knowledge that she seemed to have gotten away with it- until her past comes back to haunt her. Then it threatens her, and just gets downright scary. And finally, that shit gets real, real scary, real fast. And we are left with questions, lots of questions, as we have one of the worst cliffhangers I have ever seen!! I hated it- hated that I didn't know what happened to who, and who was behind it all. Luckily, the second book is out, so I dived right into it, Get Bent......
5 freaking big stars!!

Eyes Wide Open (The Blackstone Affair Trilogy)-- Raine Miller

Book 3-- the conclusion to Brynn and Ethan's story, and maybe the best one yet. Now we know where their future is headed, they can finally be happy with the news they were given in book two. If only they can find out who is still threatening Brynn. And Brynn really suffers in this book- I felt for her so deeply. She loses someone that means so very much to her, at the absolute worst time imaginable. I hated that part of the book- simply hated it, and wished so hard that I could rewrite the whole damn thing myself and take it out. That is how much it devastated me, mainly because it devastated her, and this girl has already been through hell and back again. But, through it all, Ethan is there- right by her side, never falling down for a second. How can you not love this man?? He is freaking amazing!! I just wish that he would let Brynn in a little more, into the dark horrors of his past so that she could show him that she can love him and be there for him as much as he is for her. But, I do understand why he wants to keep her separate from that- it ties into how much he loves her really. He never wants to taint her with anything ugly, even though she constantly assures him that she isn't delicate and fragile like he would like to think. Just another way that he protects her. However, one dark night for him does threaten her life when he pushes her away, which leads to leaving an opening for the threat from Brynn's past to make their move and take her. This is the only time that we see Ethan feel totally helpless, and I have to rave on Raine Miller's skills of writing the scenes here- we truly see the desperation that he is going through, you can almost feel it.
I have to say that even though I had figured out earlier on who the threat to Brynn was, I was extremely surprised by it- so Kudos again Raine for making it unbelievable that it could be that person!! Never fear though, the series does have an HEA, and it is a wonderful one. The only thing that I would have liked to see is some sort of epilogue so that we would know what the "peach" was. I kind of feel cheated on that a bit, lol. But I still loved this series and would definitely read it again anytime!!
5 stars!!!!!!!!!!

All In (The Blackstone Affair Trilogy)-- Raine Miller

Book 2 in the series, and just as wonderful as the first. It picks up immediately where book one left off, right after Brynn discovered a truth about Ethan and left him. Left him after his first declaration of his love for her, and she doubted that he meant it. Like I said- it broke my heart, because I so wanted these two to make it.
When Brynn left, she told Ethan to NEVER contact her again, to which he decides to create a different definition to never, clever little thing that he is. So, he does give her some time to have her space, as above all else- the man loves and respects her. And then, he does something beautiful- he writes her a love letter, a true love letter. Swoon!! He is sure to let her know that he meant every word of his declaration of love for her, and that he will not stop protecting her or fighting for their relationship. How fantastic is that!! I fell for him all over again....... And apparently, Brynn did as well, because as soon as a potential threat comes across to her- she reaches out to Ethan, the one person that feels safe and protected with. And he comes running, quite literally.
This book focuses on the continuation of Ethan trying to determine who the threat to Brynn actually is, since there are several possibilities. She continues to do the nude modeling, much to Ethan's dismay, since he is quite protective of her and doesn't feel as though anyone else should see her bits and pieces other than him, lol. Their relationship continues to grow and develop, evolving into a "new life" for both of them. Yeah, she freaks out, but finally comes to terms with things and realizes that it is what she always wanted. Ethan makes the ultimate show of his love for her by coming up with a plan for their future to ensure their happiness and her safety. It is a great continuation of their story and a great lead in to book three, Eyes Wide Open.
5 stars!!!

Naked (The Blackstone Affair Trilogy)-- Raine Miller

I really loved this series, I just want to start out with that- it was just a great one, and I highly recommend it to y'all. I keep saying that I am going to get away from trilogies, or wait until all of the books are out before I read them, so as to not have to suffer through cliffhangers or wait for the next one, etc. That being said, this one was definitely worth it, and luckily for me, I didn't pick it up until I had all of the books, lol. So, no waiting for the next one- woo hoo!!
Anyway, onto the review..... Brynn and Ethan, such a beautiful couple, and so very much in love. I love finding a book where the male lead is not afraid of showing his lady how he feels, and Ethan Blackstone is definitely not afraid of that-- he loves Brynn Bennett- true, pure and shows it to everyone.
We meet Brynn, an American graduate student living in London, also a nude model- when she shows for a photo exhibit for one of her best friends (whom she posed for at this particular showing), and it just so happens that Ethan is there. He owns a security company and is there "on the job", however, upon seeing Brynn's photo- immediately drops the money to purchase it for himself. Then he sees the model herself, and it is all over for him from there- he is totally head over heels for his "beautiful American girl". She falls for him just as quickly, so much so that she rushes out of the gallery in order to avoid the way he is making her feel, but luckily he catches her on the street, offering her a ride home so that she doesn't have to ride the tube, which luckily for us, she accepts- thus starting their beautiful relationship. Even though Ethan has initially been contacted by her father to hire him as security for her, Ethan realizes that he will not be able to keep himself from falling for her, and tries to explain that he doesn't want the job. However, he cannot stop himself from protecting her, as she is being threatened by people from her past, due to some horrible things that happened to her as a teenager, and an upcoming presidential election in the states (I don't want to give away details). Oh, and did I mention this is all taking place while the Olympics are in London, of which Ethan's company is in charge of security?? However, he always puts Brynn first, making sure that she is safe and secure and above all else, that she feels loved and happy. And she finally opens her heart to let him in when she sees all that he has done and is continuing to do for her.
But, of course, being that it is a trilogy and there has to be a cliffhanger, something occurs when her father discovers who she has fallen head over heels for and everything promptly falls apart for she and Ethan. It broke my heart when she left him, mainly because it was the first time he told her how he really felt, and she doubted it. Needless to say, I jumped right into the next novel...... All In.
5 stars!!!

This Man (This Man Trilogy)-- Jodi Ellen Mappas

Let me start by saying this: even though this is a trilogy- you will only see this one review from me for it, as I WILL NOT be finishing this series........ Why, you ask?? Mainly because this book just straight up pissed me off!! And that really isn't an easy feat with a book- but this one did. I really don't see how anyone could have been so interested in reading the rest of the books after getting introduced to the characters in this one. Ava, our female lead- is quite possibly, the most spineless creature on the face of the planet. The girl should really just have "Doormat" tattooed to her freaking forehead. We are lead to believe that she is this intelligent young woman, a highly successful interior designer in London, completely in control of her own life and such. Boy, what a ruse.... What we find out is that she really is completely co-dependent and a babbling idiot when in the presence of Jesse Ward- the male lead. They meet when she is contracted to do some renovations on some property of his, and of course, she falls for him immediately- and vice versa. Which all would be sweet and wonderful, if not for the fact that in reality- Jesse is really a controlling, manipulative, lying asshole who basically uses Ava's own body and her attraction for him, against her. We are talking controlling what she wears, where she goes, who she is with, what jobs she accepts at work, and even whether or not she takes her birth control pills (yeah, he hides them from her). Told ya, he is an asshole.........
But, instead of getting completely sickened by this disturbing behavior and sending the jerk packing, our gutless little Ava (I am not about to refer to her as our heroine!), instantly caves and seemingly forgets all of his transgressions whenever he touches her!! WTF!! Like I said, totally pissed me off.
The whole novel goes back and forth like this, with the conclusion showing Jesse to also be a huge liar-- as he has been keeping a terrible secret (actually two) from her. Of course when she finds out, she leaves him, stews on it for a while, then caves again and goes back to him-- only to discover yet another ugly truth about him that sends her packing again. This ends the novel.
I did glance ahead and check out the next in the series, Beneath this Man, followed by This Man Confessed-- hoping that maybe Jesse would redeem himself somehow and make me want to continue on with the series, but to no avail........... We find out in Beneath this Man, that he has cheated on her, so yeah, that was it for me. I cannot force myself to suffer through being pissed through two more novels, hating the two lead characters the entire time and wishing nothing more than to be able to crawl into my Kindle and choke them. So, this is it for me-- no more for this trilogy. So folks, read if you like, but I only give this 2 stars and do not recommend it at all.

COVER REVEAL!!!!!!! AND MORE :) Fueled (Driven Series, Book 2)-- K. Bromberg

HERE IT IS FOLKS...............

What happens when the one person you never expected suddenly happens to be the one you’ll fight the hardest to keep?

Colton stole my heart.  He wasn't supposed to, and I sure as hell didn't want him to, but he crashed into my life, ignited feelings within me that I thought had died forever, and fueled a passion that I never knew could exist.

Rylee fell out of that damn storage closet and into my life. Now I don't think I'll ever be the same. She's seen glimpses of the darkness within me, and yet she's still here. Still fighting for me. She is without a doubt the saint, and I am most definitely the sinner.

How is it the one thing neither of us wanted—neither of us anticipated that fateful night—has us fighting so hard to keep?

He steals my breath, stops my heart, and brings me back to life again all in a split second of time. But how can I love a man who won't let me in? Who continually pushes me away to prevent me from seeing the damaged secrets in his past? My heart has fallen, but patience and forgiveness can only go so far.

How can I desire a woman who unnerves me, defies me, and forces me to see that in the deep, black abyss of my soul there's someone worthy of her love? A place and person I swore I'd never be again. Her selfless heart and sexy body deserve so much more than I'll ever be capable of giving her. I know I can't be what she needs, so why can't I just let her go?

We are driven by need and fueled with desire, but is that enough for us to crash into love?

So very many of us have been patiently awaiting the release of K's second in the series, Fueled. And now, well thank freaking goodness, it is so close to being here!!! So, here you have it guys- the cover reveal we have been waiting for..............

Hawt damn!!!! So glad we got Colton on this cover!! And oh no, the gods above (K and the fab ladies at Sinfully Sexy Book Reviews- the most fabulous organizers of this luscious event) decided not to stop there........ They have also graced us with an awesome teaser excerpt from the novel...........

It is only then that Colton approaches me, backing me up against the kitchen counter, his hips pressing into me, and his mouth capturing mine in a mind-altering, head-dizzying, soul-emptying kiss. God, I missed the taste of him. The kiss ends much too soon, unable to get my fill after missing him for four days, and he wraps his arms around me in a tight hug that I know I could lose myself in if it wasn’t for our surroundings.

A hug teeming with a quiet desperation, he holds me to him, his face nuzzled in the side of my neck, and I can feel him breathe me in and draw strength from our connection.

Hey,” I murmur softly as his hands press into my back. “You okay?”

Yeah.” He breathes. “Now I am.”

His murmured confession rocks me. Hits those parts deep within in me, unjaded and still full of hope and possibility.

He finally releases me when he hears sounds in the hallway. I gaze up at his face and look beyond the handsome features that still make my breath catch in my throat every time I see him. I notice darkened smudges under his tired, wary eyes. He’s not sleeping. More nightmares? I don’t know and I don’t want to ask. He’ll tell me if he wants to. When he’s able to.

He angles his head in question to why I‘m just staring at him, trying to figure out what’s different about him when it hits me. He’s clean-shaven. I reach up and run my hand across his jaw, his face leaning into my touch. And it’s something about that little gesture mixed with his earlier confession that makes my heart swell.

What’s this?” I ask, trying to prevent him from reading into the emotional transparency in my eyes by teasing him. “So smooth and clean shaven.”

It doesn’t bode too well doing a razor commercial with a five o’clock shadow,” he smirks, running his palms up and down the sides of my torso. Licks of desire flicker low in my belly at his touch.

I laugh out loud. “Understandably. I like it though,” I tell him, running my fingers over it again when he frowns. “It’s okay, Ace, you still ooze bad boy without the stubble. Besides, I’ll get to sleep with someone different than this scruffy-jawed man I’ve been wasting my time on.”

He flashes me a quick smile. “Wasting your time, huh?” He takes a step toward me, lust clearly edging the humor out of his eyes.

Every part of my body tightens at the predatory way his body moves toward mine. My God. Take me, I want to tell him. Take every part of me that you already haven’t stolen, taken, or claimed.

Oh, most definitely. He’s a rebel...” I scrunch my nose up “...and I definitely don’t do the bad boy type.”

No?” He wets his lips with a quick dart of his tongue. “What type exactly, do you do?”

So, are we foaming, or slobbering....... at the mouth yet???? Cause I can tell that Fueled is "gearing" up to be just as hot as Driven, if not-- dare we say--- hotter?? So, bite those knuckles folks and squeeze those thighs together to hold out until August 27, 2013- the date that we FINALLY get more Colton and Rylee!!!! So, a great big ole thank you to Sinfully Sexy Book Reviews for this awesome event and keeping us all together in the reader love!!!!
