Lordy, lordy. Hoax, my boy- what a tangled web you weave. First, you find a McKenzie girl and fall hard for her. Then, pursue her relentlessly, even when she originally makes it clear that shes not having it. Then, you finally get in there and make her yours and have her falling for you just as hard. But, you do the worst possible thing and leave her alone while you go off and play soldier in the Delta Forces halfway around the world.
And did I mention that you managed to knock her up? 'Cause yeah, that happened. Oh and her dad is THE Sam McKenzie. You know, son of Silas McKenzie. What were you thinking my boy???
I know, you were thinking that nothing in your life was as good and wonderful as Pru McKenzie was. And that, my dear Hoax would be correct.
Nothing could possibly be better than these two people together. At least for the readers of this fabulous book. Were the circumstances ideal of their coming together? No. Was their relationship easy? Absolutely not. Did they face so many obstacles that it seemed sometimes easier to throw in the towel and walk away? Of course they did.
