Was there ever a more perfect couple than that of Johnny and June, in all of history? Not that I've ever known. Theirs was a love written in the stars, above all in comparison. Nothing could hold a candle to those two. And much like their namesakes, LLV's Johnny and June are just the same.
I'm not sure that Lani has ever given us two people more suited for one another before. Two souls that were probably twined together long before either one ever knew it- before they ever came into contact with one another- their love and bond began to form. I think that's why it was so easy for them to fall as soon as they did. It was destined. Just like the original Johnny and June.
As much as I love seeing all of the "kids" all grown up and getting their stories told, it is also so very surreal to me now, because we are also seeing our beloved original couples growing older- we are having to face their mortality, and the very real possibility that they all are not going to be around forever. And that scares the crap out of me. I am terrified that one of these days Lani is going to pull the plug on one of the "oldies" and it's going to gut me!! It's just so hard sometimes for me to reconcile that they now have grown children and even grandchildren. That rang even more true in this one with Sebastian and Baylee- and especially Silas. Even if they were all still as badass as ever.
I loved every single word that Lani gave me, and can't wait to see Coke and Cora's story be told, because I fell in love with Coke right away when he hired June. I knew that he was going to be the only man that would ever be able to hold his own against Gabe. I can imagine the fireworks are gonna fly on that one- and I can't freaking wait!!
