My, oh my, how I did fall for Braun! And his name- was it not a perfect fit for such a mountain man? Talk about an alpha and a half, yes ma’am! These two can easily melt the screen of your Kindle in a hot second.
First, we meet Katrina, seemingly running away from her farce of a life that she’s been forced to lead- having been raised as a high society princess- basically being the victim of an upcoming arranged marriage. However, once she finally finds her backbone, she escapes to the one place she’s ever found happiness- the cabin left to her by her beloved Uncle Stan. The small issue with that, is that Stan seemed to have left it to another person as well. Enter Braun.
Braun, a former Marine, who had been brought under Stan’s wing years prior during Stan’s years of humanitarian service in Afghanistan, has also fled to the remote mountain cabin after leaving the service. He too was seeking solace from his broken life, and never expected to find someone, mainly Katrina, barging in on the peaceful life he’d built over the past couple of years.
Funny things about life though. It happens. And in Braun and Katrina’s case, when it does- it was epically amazing. These two connected from the start, even if the initial sparks were friction related- they soon grew to a blazing inferno of passion that neither could tame. It was insta-love at its finest. In each other, they found what they’d always longed for- and they found it in their cabin, on their mountain.
This was a spectacular addition to Madison Faye’s arsenal, and maybe my favorite of hers yet- highly recommended!!! 5 stars all the way!!!
