MY REVIEW FOR SON OF A BEARD:
Lani Lynn!! Woman, do you know how to rip my heart right out of my chest.... oh my god. I honestly thought there was a time when I was not going to make it through this book without stroking out!! That's how on edge I was after getting so tangled in Truth and Verity's story. I was wrapped so tightly in them, that I honestly didn't know where they ended and I began. Everything they felt, I felt. Every. Single. Thing. And, trust me. There were A LOT of things!!
This one is so far, without a doubt, my favorite of the series!! More heartbreaking than you could even possibly imagine, and that was even after losing Stone in Fear the Beard- and I honestly thought that was going to do me in. But Truth and Verity, no- they definitely take the cake on this one. More than you can imagine. But it is SO freaking good!!!! Just every single word, every page, is far better than the last. I found that once I started, there was no putting my Kindle down- absolutely none. This was a finished in one sitting book. Not that any of LLV's have been any different with me, but something about this one was just so different.
There are so many things that I could say, but it would, I fear, give away too many details about this amazing story- that you absolutely cannot miss reading yourself. Because honestly, missing Truth's book, is akin to missing that of Ghost, and we all know you don't want to miss Ghost's book. Speaking of which, we do get a little more insight into Ghost in this book, which only made me want his story even sooner, because I just know that his is going to blow everything else out of the water. Alas, I have to patiently wait for LLV to unveil the magic!!
Needless to say, Son of A Beard is one of the best that LLV has put out, and I can definitely tell this one is going to be a bestseller, because there is nothing that cannot captivate even the harshest critic. It's just fantastic. Amazingly fantastic. It deserves so much more praise than what I can give it, but I will attempt to give it it's due with a glorious 5++++++ star rating!!!!!!!
