Oh my, what a literal white knight Ash is!! Talk about coming in and rescuing a damsel in distress- and here you have it. When the world is at its bleakest for Jasmine, when her every wish has been snatched away from her and it looks like all hope has vanished- Ash steps in and takes her away from the hell that is her life. Hell that she has been forced to live in at the hands of her own father. The one other man in the world who should have protected and worshiped her at all costs.
This poor girl has been through the wringer, due to her father's own stupidity, and unwillingness to get help for his inner demons and addictions. So, it has all fallen on Jasmine's shoulders. Her only reprieve is her daily walk home from school through a local park, where she is able to breathe freely and have a moment's peace.
Little does she know that park is situated across from the building owned by Ash, and once he sees her for the first time, he is hooked. Head over heels in love. He devotes every ounce of his time and energy from that moment forward to finding the way to rescue her and bring her into his world, so that he can spend the rest of their days cherishing her. It is the most precious thing you could ever imagine.
Their story isn't the most pretty, given the details of how they finally meet and get together, but that doesn't diminish the feelings of love and devotion between them, or the utter perfection of them at all. I loved every word of this book. I cannot recommend it more. So, go and grab it NOW!!
