Release Date: 2.21.2016
SYNOPSIS:
WARNING: Author believes in soul mates and insta-love, proceed with caution if you're not a romantic at heart.
Love's greatest cure is salvation of one’s soul.
Shane Sherman has a problem. Well, two, actually. One has auburn hair and pale-green eyes, and the other? . . . Is a secret. One he doesn't want to talk about. But all that changes when Sage comes to town.
Sage Sloan is being stalked. So she runs to Trails End and the bravest man her sister said she'd ever met. Sergeant Shane Sherman.
Sparks fly, tempers flare, and bears misbehave as Shane and Sage find a way to coexist in Trails End. That is, until a killer comes to call. Then all bets are off. Shane isn't about to lose his saving grace.
This is the third and final book in the Reason Series. I highly recommend you read books one and two before "A Reason To Live."
Rated R for sexual content and language and M for Maxine.

MY REVIEW
Hands down, this is CP's best work yet. And that says a lot for me, because I hang on every word that comes from this woman's fingers. I loved this book. No other way to put it. So many times I have compared CP to Kristen Ashley, and she always tells me that I am putting her in great company. But, honestly- that's exactly where she needs to be. The woman has the art of the alpha male down to an art- just like our KA does.
Shane Sherman is just as hot and stubborn as Jack and Max, maybe even more so, given his time in the military. But, he is also a broken man. He is carrying the weight of a guilt on his shoulders that should have never been placed there. Luckily for him, he meets Sage Sloan and she is the perfect woman to knock that weight right to the ground. This beautiful spirit, who has lost the most important person in the world, is drawn to Shane from the first glance. Even as he tries his best to push her away because he fears how she makes him feel, she pushes right back. Hard. This girl does not go down without a fight.
It doesn't hurt that Sage attracts Maxine and her infinite wisdom, like honey attracts a bear. Maxine digs in her heels and sets about planning on bringing Shane to heel, and I can promise you that you do not want to miss a second of that. I mean, it is Maxine after all. The woman is a goddess among us all, and we should all bow in her presence.
Huge bonus to the entire book was having all of our guys and gals together at one time. All the couples come together to help fight the evil lurking in the shadows and threatening Sage. So, you can only imagine the chaos that ensues having the men form their own posse, even if most of the time it's only to wrangle these crazy women into a semi-manageable herd. Hint, look forward to the cemetery scene (total hilarity).
All in all, I am sad to see the "end" of this series, but I can only hope that some of my favorite men and women pop up from time to time in the future. I can't imagine that they will leave CP's head anytime soon!! 5 stars for this amazing book, from an even more amazing author!!!
