Leather and Lace-- Jessi Evans

Well, we can add yet another good series to my newly discovered reads!! Jessi's Lonesome Point series, which as of now, consists of Leather and Lace (book 1) and Saddles and Sin (book 2), is defintely one to add to your TBR.

Leather and Lace is the story of Mia and Sawyer. Mia, who is truly a survivor of her circumstances, is the owner of the town of Lonesome Point's only lingerie shop, and a total prankster who grabs life by the balls and enjoys the ride. Actually, the book starts off with Mia and her pals (Bubba and Ugly Ross- yeah, you just have to read the story to understand), pulling a prank on Mia's own spinster cousin, which of course, involves said cousin's precious garden gnomes and some misplaced lingerie. Having been accidentally discovered by the cuz, Mia leaps to safety behind some bushes- only to literally knock poor ole Sawyer, right off his feet.

Sawyer, a sexy new to town historical renovator, is quite taken by Mia- even though at first, that taken is by surprise. However, what ends up leading to the best kiss of his life, makes certain that he is unable to get Mia out of his head. He knows that he shouldn't get attached to a woman, since he is only in town to consult on a job for his uncle's restoration firm, in order to help restore the town's wild west themed tourist attraction. Oh, and did I mention that the man who brought Sawyer to help restore Old Town, is Mia's very own grandmother? Yeah, that certainly brings some interest to the story.......

Soon enough, Mia and Sawyer find themselves thrown together in order to help breathe life back into the town most beloved attraction. Mia, being the stand in for her grandmother, quickly realizes that Sawyer is nothing like the horror that she dealt with in her past, and discovers that maybe she is ready to explore something beyond a professional relationship with the sexy man that she can't banish from her thoughts.

But, when Mia's past comes back to threaten everything that Mia has worked so hard to overcome, and puts her life in danger, she finds out just how far Sawyer has fallen for her too. The love between them is so intense, even in the short amount of time that they have been together, that it is strong enough to save them both when it really counts.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, as well as book 2- which I am also reviewing, and give it 4.5 stars!!
