Sexy little control freak, indeed. Shane is definitely a different kind of hero, even if he is eerily reminiscent of Maddox Locke. Always needing control. Always brooding. Just like Maddox.
I didn't realize how much I had missed our Hope Town crew until I became immersed in the pages of Drunk on You. These guys and gals give you all the feels. Good and bad- you get them all. They are so much of a family, they are like your own family. Now onto the second, and for some, the third generation of Hope Town "hooligans", Harper Sloan keeps getting better and better with her couples.
Just when you think she cannot possibly top her last couple- she gives us a new one to fall all over. Shane and Nikki are that new one. Two, slightly bent, but far from broken souls that find their way together. Even when they only set out for some casual fun, the connection was too strong to deny, and the fire erupted.
The title of this book is so accurate, because Shane and Nikki are like one of your favorite drinks, heady and wild, taking you away to a place where you can feel nothing but utter bliss. The love, the tenderness, the heat- all part of the recipe for a perfect novel, from an amazing author.
I can't wait to see what Harper has in store for Liberty and one of the Cage boys, because we all know that if you're a Cage- your story is going to be one for the record books. Let's just hope that those boys like their jewelry as much as their Daddy!! ;)
