My, oh my, how a good lumberjack will do you good. And the BigBadWolf? Well, that's just even better!! Well, it's definitely better for Miss Avery and all her girlie bits anyway!! At least when that BigBadWolf comes in the form of a hot, bearded lumberjack named Wes, that can melt your panties with one sexy smirk.
These two have played the cat and mouse game for years- even if neither of them realized it, they were head over feet for one another way back when. Until Avery skipped town and sailed off to Cali to find, what she thought, were greener pastures and a brighter future than what she figured she'd find in her small town. Little did she realize that everything she'd every possibly want was right at home.
Now, I have to say, that regardless of how much Wes teased Avery with his "Anal Avery" stuff, he had to be one of the sweetest men, with the biggest hearts out there. The way that he stepped in for Lucy and Jeremiah, when his friend jumped ship- come on- who does that? Not a typical fella- that's who. He felt terrible that his best friend left his woman and kid high and dry, and so he decided that the least he could do was help out and watch after them. Total swoon.
There is just so much to love about Wes and Avery, the banter between them is HILARIOUS. And the Timber thing? Stroke of genius, Ms. Blake- that was an awesome touch to bring out another side of our guy for Avery to see, when she refused to get out of her own way to see Wes for who he really was.
All in all, the whole shebang is fab, and certainly should be added to your TBR pile today, because it's definitely worth a read.
