MY REVIEW FOR STEP LOVER:
Well, crap- Bella has really done it this time. She has definitely cemented herself right up there with the successful ladies that have tackled this taboo topic. This book is AMAZING!! Like I devoured it all in one day, amazing. I loved Blade and Aria!! Their relationship was so raw and painful, yet so beautiful and pure at the same time- all while being forbidden in their eyes.
The pain that they put themselves through, all because they were worried about public perception- it gutted me. After everything Aria had endured- I needed her to have that love. That soul consuming, heart wrenching, full to bursting kind of love. And Blade was the only man that could give her that.
Poor Blade, denying himself those feelings- the opportunity to let himself be loved, it was awful. The fact that he almost had to settle for something else- no, just no. I was so terrified that these two weren't gonna pull through, on one too many occassions. I almost felt like doing the peek through my fingers horror movie thing. That's how scared I was about it. I needed them to make it- there was just something in my being that called for it.
Bella certainly didn't let me down, not that she ever has, and made it even better when she gave the news that the series will CONTINUE!!! That's right-- Brody and Melanie!! Squee!!!!! I did a happy dance- I'm not ashamed to say it. I just couldn't let these guys go- they just burrowed themselves right on down in there, and will not leave. I know that this book is one that's going to stay with me- given all of the things that were covered it. All of the pain, the beauty and the all enduring love. It's one of my new faves- without a doubt, and gets a huge 5 star rating from this junkie!!
