MY REVIEW FOR HARD TO COME BY:
Well, color me surprised- but Derek DiMarzio is my new Hard Ink man!!! Why, you ask, would I be surprised by that? Well, lemme 'splain here. See, whereas Nick, Shane, and even Easy are at least overtly masculine in nature, meaning that you just knew they were alphas waiting to boost loose on someone, Derek was a complete shock to me!! I have seen him as the laid back, easy going, jokester of the bunch this entire time. Not to say that I didn't see him as manly, just less so than the other guys- maybe it was the whole tech geek thing- I don't know. But, damn- am I ever so freaking glad that I was wrong!! That boy- holy god. Talk about a dirty birdie!! Who knew?? Our sweet Marz, hides quite the kink behind his jokester self- for reasons that I can most definitely understand. I felt so hard for the pain he had endured, the anger he carried, but most of all- the loss he felt. Not just the loss of his limb, but from the loss of a bit of his self confidence, because I could tell that may have been one reason why he hadn't opened himself to love since his amputation.
Enter Emilie- the perfect fireball for him. Just as much a hidden spark as Marz, she too wasn't afraid to let loose her wild side, when she finally found someone worthy of it. I love her- I mean, she is amazing. The strength she shows- especially, when faced with the horrid truth of her brother's life, it's beautiful. That strength is absolutely what makes her perfect for Marz, and he does everything in his power to keep it. And their chemistry- holy crap, it's off the freaking charts!! This book is hot- incredibly so. Maybe more for me because, again, I wasn't expecting that from Marz......
Their story rocks- just hands down- the best so far.
