Sensual. Heartbreaking. Passionate. Overwhelming. Maddening.

That’s the love Finn and I share.
It's the kind you can never recover from.
The kind you never WANT to recover from.

That's why we'll do everything and anything to protect it.
When my past chases me all the way to Outskirts, we have to make a choice.
Let the lies destroy our chance at future together or...bury them deep in the swamp where they belong.

Got a shovel?

MY REVIEW

Much like I said in my review for The Outskirts, Finn & Sawyer are most definitely my favorite of T.M.'s couples so far. I think she gets better with each one, but something about these two is just far and away better than the rest- and I didn't think anyone could top King & Doe for me.
As we left our Outskirts folks, we had a huge bombshell dropped on us in the form of Carolyn- seemingly back from the beyond, which was bittersweet for Sawyer, as she didn't come back as the mother from her youth. Due to all of the traumatic experiences that Carolyn had dealt with during her life, she was having some issues- so Sawyer still didn't get her back right away. But, she also had to deal with Critter's revelation, so our girl was, needless to say, shouldering some heavy stuff.
Never fear though, because as Finn has shown us- the man is there to not only carry Sawyer's burdens, but wipe them off the planet if possible. The man would take on an entire army if he had to, only to spare her a moment's unease. Which, when it came to Richard Dixon and his form of evil- it felt as though that's what Finn was doing.
I thought we had seen some sick bad peeps in Frazier's books, but he is a piece of work. Hiding behind his "church" was just beyond the pale. The fact that he went so far and above to punish two women who in no way belonged to, or had no legal or physical connection to him- it was warped in every sense. However, such comes from the mind of the Evil Ginger, I suppose.  ;)
All in all, this is one of T.M.'s best of the best- because I just can't find it in me to say that she has written anything subpar that I've seen. So, to me, they're all best. But The Outskirts duo may take the prize. It's fab- beyond it even. Everything I could've wanted and more.
5 stars!!!

Excerpt:

My eyes went to her throat. I saw her pulse quicken beneath her smooth skin. She twisted her pouty pink lips. Her hesitation only lasted a second before she wrapped her arms around my neck and pulled me down closer so that the tips of our noses touched. Her lips feathered against mine. "Fuck me, Finn."

     "Yes," I growled.

I may have been the one who told her to say those words but hearing them out of her mouth caused the raging inferno of lust within me to explode beyond control. I had a feeling I'd be hearing those words on repeat in my head for the rest of my life.

     Fuck me, Finn.

I lifted her up onto the nearest table and pushed her onto her back. I tore her panties off in one tug and while I devoured her with my eyes, I somehow managed to concentrate enough to unbuckle my belt and push my jeans down over my ass, freeing my throbbing cock.

Sawyer moaned when I parted her legs, stepping between them. The sound was pure fucking heaven. Our tongues danced while we drank each other in. I savored the way her body felt against mine. Hard against soft. I dug my fingers into the flesh of her perfectly round ass before moving them to her pussy where I parted her warm wet folds and strummed her swollen clit because Sawyer was my instrument of choice and only I knew how to play her to perfection.

The look on Sawyer's face when I inserted a finger inside of her was as if I'd just given her a drug. She was high on the pleasure. Her lids were heavy. Her pupils large and dark. I was dead set on making sure I wrung every bit of pleasure from her gorgeous body and I gave her exactly what she’d asked me for.
