We all knew that we wanted, no needed, for Nate to have his own book after meeting him in Conrad and Charlie's story. It was almost an itch that Celia had to scratch. The man that was so quick to cover the dark life that these men lived, with a smart a** remark, or a funny joke- we knew there was something more to him that needed to be told.
Luckily, Celia felt the same, and unleashed this baby unto the masses. Nate, this rough, callous- yet tender when he needed to be, man that would do anything for the ones he loved. Even if that meant sending them away from the ugliness that he lived in to protect them. The one person that Nate seemed to love more than most, was Sabrina. The little girl that he had rescued years prior during a horrific mafia showdown that ended in the death's of her family. He took her in and vowed to do everything in his power to care for her. And he did. She wanted for nothing. Except the one thing she felt she couldn't have- Nate.
As all little girls do, this one grew up. And when she did, she decided it was high time she took what she wanted. No matter how dangerous that game was- she was willing to risk it all to have the man that she had loved for years. Even if he was determined to not cross that line. She was. She did. The rest, as they say, is history. Or at least, it's in this book.
Nate and Sabrina's story is just as dark and stormy as Conrad and Charlie's and just as ugly at times. But, it is no less beautiful, no less perfect- no less amazing. It is just a book that you HAVE to read. You'll not regret that. Promise.
