New Release & Review!!! Sweet Obsession-- J. Daniels!!!!

Mason, oh Mason King..... Holy crap whatta man he is. I somehow seemed to have forgotten just how sexy he was between reading The Alabama Summer series, and this book!! However, I LOVED that J. made this one a crossover of the two series, as they are two of my favorites!! And to see that Brooke was the one to get her HEA with one of the Alabama boys (even if he is an Aussie), made it that much better.
Brooke, such a lost soul, wandering through life without a purpose or direction throughout the first part of the series, seemed to be the last person that you would have imagined ever finding love- mainly because she didn't want it. She wanted sex. Lots and lots of sex, and nothing more. I figured that she, like Joey would have been just a wonderful supporting character to the other couples, even though Joey had already found his man, and was happy- I just didn't see it in the cards for Brooke. Not that it was sad or anything, but I just saw her as never wanting that for herself. I knew she needed a purpose in life, I just never thought that it would be love. She seemed to be so fiercely opposed to making any kind of deep connection with a man that I figured it was just a lost cause. So, color me surprised when I saw that Mason was going to the one she fell for, because deep down, I wanted that for her. Even if she didn't think she wanted it, I did. I wanted Brooke to have that happiness in life. What better kind of man to find that with than a sexy Australian that had the body of a god due to his yoga business?
J. did a fabulous job with this book, both remaining true to Brooke's independent spirit, while still showing her growth as a person and as a woman. She truly represented the closeness of her relationship with Joey and Billy, the gentle affection that they all had for one another, and the fierce protectiveness that Joey showed over her. Not to mention, the relationship that had bloomed between Dylan and Brooke, as they had not only grown from boss and employee, but as girlfriends. Dylan was finally able to help Brooke realize her true potential, and help show her the self-confidence that was hidden inside.
These guys are a family, through and through, and I will be devastated when the series ends because I do not want to walk away from these characters!! They are SO good. You cannot help but fall in love with all of them, no matter which series it is, one is just as wonderful as the other, so if you haven't picked up anything by J. Daniels yet-- do it now!!! They, much like this one, are all 5 star reads!!!!

***Author’s note*** Sweet Obsession can be read as a standalone novel.

Everyone knows Brooke Wicks loves to have a good time. She’s not interested in getting serious, settling down, or limiting herself to one man. So when she meets the sexy, irresistible Mason King, she sees another opportunity to let loose and go wild. But the gorgeous Aussie isn’t interested in just a quick fling with Brooke, and if she wants to get into his bed, she’s going to have to do it on his terms.

Loving fast and hard has always been Mason’s philosophy. He doesn’t want a meaningless connection, he wants it all, and he wants it with Brooke. When she makes her one desire known—to hit it and quit it—Mason wages a plan to ensure Brooke keeps coming back for more. Or so he hopes.

Getting her attention was the easy part. Keeping it might be damn near impossible.

Sweet Obsession is where the Sweet Addiction series meets the Alabama Summer series.
