MY REVIEW FOR UNCOVER ME:
Thomas is definitely the hottest of those Gallo boys!! Even City has nothing on him. Now, we all know that James is still my fave- however, since he isn't technically a Gallo yet- the crown has to go to Thomas. The man certainly knows how to handle a woman, and Roxy- well, she is quite the woman.
Talk about strong and independent- and if Izzy comes to your mind first, then Roxy should definitely be second. This girl's story broke my heart. The life she lived was not one for the faint of heart. And the crazy thing was, it wasn't even the biker life that tore her down, but the woman that gave her life. I have so many feelings of hatred towards her mom, mainly because she is such a c@*t!! I just wanted to get my hands on her and rip her to shreds myself.
So, I loved that Thomas stepped into Roxy's life and finally gave her a taste of the love that she had missed for her entire life. He instantly became her rock, her best friend, and her savior. It was a true story of love and redemption- not just for one, but for both of them. They both had to fight through the ugly to get to the beautiful, so their struggle seemed all the more important. Whether it was Thomas battling to get back to feeling like he was a true member of his family, or Roxy fighting to finally realize that she deserved happiness- these two had to wade through some shit.
Chelle made their story amazing. She brought out the best of the Gallos, and showed just how true their love was for the family. She proved that they stick together no matter what. This book felt like the foundation of what the Gallo clan is really about, and that's the biggest reason that I loved it so much.
I am giving it 5 stars, not just because of its beauty, but also because of its importance to the entire series. I honestly felt that we had to have this story for the rest to truly make the impact that they have. I cannot wait to get Anthony's story next, as I am ready for him to finally fall to a woman, and see what it is that has his siblings so enthralled!! Way to go Chelle!!
