LBTS, being book 2, picks up where CIC left off. We are still wondering the answer to the famous question- "Who's the Daddy?" Carly has just of course, discovered her pregnancy, and is still unsure of whether the father is Colton- her lifetime love, or Luke- her lifelong, and now best friend.
I think we all were wondering how Colton and Luke would take the news of the baby, and the fact that either of them could be the father of that baby. It terrified me that either, or both of them could possibly decide that this was something that they didn't want or need in their lives, and could turn their backs on Carly Jo. I should have known better. Colton proved that he was in for the long haul- he was determined to let Carly know that whether the baby was his or not- he would never leave her side. And Luke- god, how I love Luke. I just wanted to wrap him in a big ole bear hug so many times, just to be certain that he got at least some of the happiness that he so greatly deserved.
Of course, we also got to finally see the hell that Savannah had to endure on a daily basis- and see just how evil her sorry excuse for a husband, Josh was. The things that she had to endure at his hand- sickened me. He deserves nothing less than a fiery trip to Hell.
And, our beautiful girl Heidi Jo, well- she just brings the laughs like no one else could ever do.
We also have to endure the evil Drew- but it warmed my heart to see that jerk face get what he deserved in the end. Nothing sweeter could have flown across my Kindle screen.
All in all, without giving too much away- the book is freaking fabulous. No other way to describe it. Even though everyone gets their HEA- there are still 2 more books slated for the series, so I'm sure there is plenty more left for Silla to tell us about the gang. Because really, this ole girl would love to see some Savannah & Luke action somewhere down the line- just sayin' Silla. ;)
